Guest Info:	Warner W. Carr, M.D., a clinical allergy and asthma specialist, joined the medical staff at Mission Hospital in 2007 after an eleven year career serving and teaching in the United States Army. His focus includes asthma and various allergic disease states such as asthma, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, eczema, and food allergies. Dr. Carr has brought his varied experience and expertise to Orange County to not only practice medicine, but also to educate, serving as Associate Professor with the University of California at Irvine. He has a great deal of research experience in clinical trials and has been published in medical publications such as Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Carr currently practices with the Allergy and Asthma Associates of Southern California and continues ongoing medical research as an Associate Medical Director of the Southern California Research Center in Mission Viejo. Dr. Carr received his medical degree from the University of Washington’s School of Medicine in Seattle and is fellowship trained in allergy and immunology from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. He is also board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Carr is a decorated combat veteran with special military training in chemical, biological, radiological, and high yield explosives. His philosophy of care is to look at the whole person and not just the disease. He then takes timeout to review a personalized treatment plan in detail with patients and/or their parents to ensure full understanding. In doing so, he finds patients are more apt to successfully complete the specified treatment.
