Karen G. Benik, M.D. has been practicing dermatology at Mission Hospital for 14 years. She is a Board Certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatological Surgery and Oncology, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Benik is highly skilled in various surgical and medical treatment options for a number of skin diseases. Her proficiency in Mohs micrographic surgery has helped many patients successfully fight skin cancer, and her expertise in skin care has been cited in both medical journals and local outlets, such as the Orange County Register and Orange County Parenting magazine. In addition to her patient work, Dr. Benik is an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, Irvine, where she also serves as the Attending Clinical Dermatologist for the school’s medical center.
